Re: Darecki's workshop - Now: Lexus IS XE10

Making rear lights case was a crazy ride with no handlebars :D Sticked from two photos to imitate chrome effect as there is no option to make a non-texture chrome in LFS.... Doesn't look that bad after all :D
I'll try to make front lights like that too but it's much harder to find decent photos of non-tuned 1-gen IS' front lights from different perspectives :/ Another limitation for front lights is the indicators/sidelights stuff, to make them correct I need to put two semi-transparent objects one on another but LFS doesn't show such texture over another texture :/ So they will be in 2D :(

Lightning on new Westhill and Rockingham is much brighter than on old tracks and it's a really big deal to decide how bright textures to make... When they look good on old tracks, they are overexposed on new tracks and vice versa...

Id say go with by the newer tracks.. and if they look to dark so be it.. most use the newer tracks anyway and they are bound to update the older ones :)

Exterior is actually done, only need to make some slightly tweaks to some textures.

Now I'm getting interior stuff in 3ds max ready to be imported into the game, I think by the end of forthcoming week I'll show you some first interior pics :)

Wow Darecki! Good job.
I've read about taillights.. Here's some pics i made at drift event, it may be useful for 'ON' texture.... but your taillights already looks great.
